Osterville Renovation
For nine years, we searched for the perfect waterfront location. When we found the ideal spot, we began attending the Cotuit and Osterville “House Beautiful Tours”. We then selected the four most impressive homes and began interviewing the Top Four Builders.
In addition to integrity, intelligence, inter-personal skills and meeting deadlines, we chose Lagadinos Building and Design for these reasons:
Magnificent Finish and Detail work…all members of the Lagadinos Team have been with Nick for more than 17 years. As a result, no sub-contractors are framing, painting or finishing the very detailed components of your new home.
Constant and Open Communication…At every important juncture we were asked about preferences – stair wells, wine cellar, tinted glass sliding door to the pantry, upgrade to the garage doors and layout for the antique heart pine floors. In each and every discussion the Lagadinos Team always wanted what was best for us, the home owner.
Meeting deadlines and meticulous cleanliness…At every monthly meeting, our project was ahead of schedule and our property was always kept clean and tidy. Even neighbors commented on how well maintained our building site was throughout the process.
Finally and Most Importantly, Integrity….On numerous occasions Nick or his crew corrected or replaced something in our new home that did not meet their very high standards.
Some Examples:
A window in the master bath was slightly mis-positioned. While we thought” no big deal”, out came the window, a new location was built and over night, the window was perfectly positioned.
In our kitchen, some magnificent cherry wood was not finished up to Nick’s high standards. Even though our kitchen was being installed by a separate vendor, Nick called in a “finish expert” and that cherry counter is today, one of the first things visitors compliment when entering our kitchen.
Although their are dozens of additional examples, our most memorable event that speaks to the integrity issue was the morning we sat in our new home and prepared to reconcile our final payment to Lagadinos Building and Design…
After reviewing all of the invoices, we wrote a check to Nick and handed it to him.
Without taking the check, Nick asked: “Are you happy with your new home?”
Yes, we replied, more than happy….
“Are you sure?” asked Nick.
Yes, we replied and finally we shook hands and completed a most enjoyable experience.
